Oxclose Nursery offers a full range of childcare provision which we have listed below:
Provision for Two Year Olds
In September 2016, we started to offer childcare for two year olds, both funded places and paid sessions. The children can attend any sessions you choose. The morning session runs from 8.45am to 11.45am and the afternoon session runs from 12.30pm to 3.30 pm. If paying for the sessions, the charge is £15.00 per 3 hour session.
The two year olds have their own designated learning space which they access for the first hour of each session. The children then go out into our nursery garden with our three and four year old children.
Miss. Burton and Miss. Moody are the key workers.
We offer our Breakfast Club service to children from the Nursery and our neighbouring Primary School. The Breakfast Club runs from 7.45 am to 8.45 am and offers a number of healthy menus to choose from. These include cereal, toast, pancakes, yogurt and fruit juice.
The cost of the club is £2.50 per day. Mrs. Susan Dixon and Mrs. Allison Lewis run the club. If you would like your child to start using our Breakfast Club service, please call in to complete a contact form.
Our Lunch Club bridges our morning and afternoon sessions and runs from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm and is available to all children. The children have a story and sing some songs, eat their packed lunch (brought from home) and have a play outdoors. Mrs. Susan Dixon runs the club. The cost is £2.50 per day.
We have a fridge where food can be stored and we have a microwave to warm up food if required. The children really enjoy staying for lunch. If your child is a ‘fussy eater’, staying to lunch club can help. Once sat with friends, children often follow their lead and eat their packed lunch. Susan encourages good table manners and lunch time is a wonderful social event for the children.
If you would like your child to attend Lunch Club, please book a session with Annette. The blue money envelopes can be used to book the sessions.
We take our children to the Leisure Centre for Gymnastics and Water Confidence lessons each week. This means that our building is not used one morning and one afternoon each week. To utilise the building and to provide a great transition service, we offer the children on our waiting list the chance to come and use our facilities and stay and play with a grown up.
These ‘Toddler’ sessions run from 9.15am to 10.45 am on a Monday morning and from 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm on a Wednesday afternoon. The cost of each session is £2.00 for each child. There is a snack and drink provided for both children and adults.
Mrs. Susan Dixon runs this club for us. We offer places out to parents and children as they become available. Once your child is on our waiting list you will automatically receive an invitation to attend the sessions as your child reaches the appropriate age. Places are limited.
Children attend nursery either five mornings or five afternoons each week. We organise our groups like this to ensure that all children can access all of the things we offer. We organise so many special visits, visitors in and special events that we do not want anyone to miss out on anything we offer.
In order to offer flexibility, parents can request that their child attends extra sessions to provide a full day at Nursery. The children can bring a packed lunch and attend our Lunch Club to bridge the two sessions (see lunch club section of Extended Services).
The cost of extending the school day is £15.00 per session which includes the Lunch Club session. The sessions must be booked each half term and must be paid a month in advance. Annette will send an invoice detailing payments required. If children are absent, sessions must still be paid for as the extra place is reserved for your child.
A Childcare Contract for Extended Sessions between home and school will be put in place. This details the rules of the agreement. A copy of this contract can be found in our Downloadable Forms area of our website.
After School Club
We now offer after school care for children from the Nursery and neighbouring Primary School. This runs from 3.15 pm to 5.30pm (children from the Primary school will be collected by Miss. Wilson at 3.15 pm). The cost of the club is £5.00 per session and will include a snack and a drink for the children. Please contact the nursery and let Miss. Smith or Annette know if you are interested in using this facility.
Mrs Wilson and Mrs. Lewis run the after school club.
